Cerebral Palsy

Jill’s story

Jill Clark is 26 and works at Bobath.

Q.1 How does your CP affect you?

I can’t walk or talk so I am in a wheelchair and I use a Communication device to talk.

Q. 2. Is this your first job? What were you doing before you joined Bobath?

Yes, this is my first paid job but I did voluntary work previously in an office.

Q.3. Can you tell me a little more about your experience as a teenager growing up?

Well, I am outgoing so I liked doing normal things that teenagers like to do, going shopping or going to the cinema or being with friends and family.

Q.4. How does CP impact on your working life?

Well, I need the right equipment and support.

Q.5. What would be your advice to young teens looking at their options for when they leave school?

You can do anything if you put your mind to it.

What's in your area?
