Mark is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Edinburgh, with major interests in paediatric and neuromuscular orthopaedics. He is the Orthopaedic Lead for the Anderson Gait Lab and regularly performs reconstructive surgery, particularly for hip dislocation and gait improvement in children and young people with cerebral palsy.
He continues to publish regularly in the fields of cerebral palsy and paediatric orthopaedics. Mark also leads the successful national surveillance programme, the Cerebral Palsy Integrated Pathway Scotland (CPIPS), which was established in 2013 to optimise musculoskeletal management and monitor hip dislocation in children and adolescents with cerebral palsy across Scotland.
