Jon joined the Board of Trustees in November 2025. He is a Senior Economist at SSEN Transmission and holds a PhD in Economics. He has experience across academia and the renewable energy sector, and now works in grid infrastructure and investment. Jon specialises in building, developing and applying innovative economic models to support decision-making processes.

Jon has cerebral palsy and has personal experience of receiving therapy from Cerebral Palsy Scotland. He feels a strong sense of gratitude for the support he has received over the years and is motivated to give back. He is keen to use his professional expertise and lived experience to make a meaningful contribution to the Board and the wider charity.

Outside of work, Jon represents Scotland in the Cerebral Palsy football team and is part of the current world championship-winning squad. He is also an avid reader with a strong interest in self-development and personal growth.

He lives with his wife, Claire, and their two-year-old dog.
