Alex joined Cerebral Palsy Scotland as Centre Administrator and Communications Officer in 2022, before moving to the role of Fundraising Manager in 2024.
As a former member of the Scottish Youth Parliament and the UK Youth Parliament, Alex has experience with youth representation. In this capacity, Alex promoted the improvement of mental health care for young people moving from youth to adult services in the NHS. Additionally, Alex served as the diversity and wellbeing representative for the City of Glasgow College Students Association. In this capacity, Alex campaigned for better mental health services at the college, and organized events to raise money for LGBT Youth Scotland. Alex had previously worked with Workingrite Youth Employment charity, which inspired her to begin a career in the charity sector.
Alex attended the University of Strathclyde where she achieved her degree in Politics, History and International Relations. During Alex’s time at university, she was involved with the Strathclyde University Celtic Supporters Club which fundraised for Glasgow’s foodbanks.
