Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is an easy, tax-free way to make a regular donation straight from your salary. Because it’s tax-free, it costs you less to give more to Cerebral Palsy Scotland.

Payroll Giving ensures that your employer deducts your donation from your salary before tax. This means your donation will be worth more than the amount you have paid. For example, if you are a 20% taxpayer, 80% of your donation amount will be taken from your salary and 20% will be taken from the tax which would have gone to HMRC.

You can donate through this way if you get paid through PAYE and your employer runs a Payroll Giving scheme. Your company can register for Payroll Giving through the Charities Aid Foundation Give As You Earn scheme.

Here is an overview of tax free giving.
