Isla has been fundraising, volunteering and campaigning since she was 15 after discovering Amnesty International in a modern studies class and setting up a lunchtime prisoners of conscience letter writing group.
Her first job was for Hilton hotels where she worked in guest relations, events, marketing and PR. After helping to set up Hilton in the Community Foundation she left to become a Community Fundraiser for Action for Children. From there she joined Poppyscotland where she became Deputy Head of Fundraising. She helped to run Scotland’s largest public fundraising appeal, managed and recruited thousands of amazing volunteers and developed the £2 million learning outreach project #PoppyBud.
Before joining Cerebral Palsy Scotland she was Head of Fundraising and Communications at Music in Hospitals & Care.
