Millicent joined Cerebral Palsy Scotland in 2023, after graduating from Durham University with a BA in English Literature. Whilst at university, she led a student-run project which worked with County Durham based charities to tackle period poverty. During this time, she organised fundraisers and campaigns to highlight inequalities in healthcare.
Her degree research focussed on experiences of disability in non-fiction narratives, and the positive impact of sharing these stories. After completing a placement with a charity researching disability inclusion in the workplace and arts settings, she decided to pursue a career in the charity sector.
Her role involves working with community fundraisers, corporate partners, and organising events.
