Access and toilet facilities at the venue
The venue is fully accessible for wheelchair users, with lift access where required.
There are accessible toilets within the venue, and the mobile PAMILOO toilet, meeting Changing Places standards, will be available outside the conference venue.
When travelling to the conference, there are four Changing Places toilets in Glasgow City Centre, including Glasgow Central Station and Glasgow Queen Street Station.
Parking at conference
The Crowne Plaza hotel has an open-air car park. Delegates can park on a first-come, first-served basis for £9.50 for up to 12 hours. Please note that this charge also applies to Blue Badge holders. Conference delegates must enter their full, correct vehicle registration into the terminal at reception and pay the appropriate tariff. Please be aware that failure to comply with the terms and conditions will result in a parking charge of £100.00.
Public transport – bus
The main bus station into Glasgow is Buchanan Bus Station. The station is open 24 hours. All areas of the bus station, CityLink Ticket Office and Travel Card Unit are accessible by wheelchair. To discuss accessibility needs within the bus station phone 0141 333 3762.

Public transport – train
The nearest train station to the venue is Exhibition Centre. This is a three-minute train ride from Glasgow Central Station. There is a covered, accessible walkway that takes you from Exhibition Centre train station to outside the SEC, and the Crowne Plaza is approximately 500m from the walkway exit.
Scotrail operates train travel to Glasgow Central Station, as well as Avanti West Coast trains and Virgin Trains to Central Station. Plan your Scotrail trip and get information about accessible travel.
If you’re coming into Glasgow at Queen Street Station, you would need to get a bus to Central Station before making your onward journey to the Crowne Plaza.
Public transport – Glasgow Subway
The closest subway station to the venue is St Enochs. This is a few minute’s walk from Central Station. Please be aware the subway network is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Multistories
- The nearby SEC multi-story car park run by Glasgow City Council has 1600 spaces, including accessible bays. There is a height restriction of 2m. Parking for 1-12 hours is charged at £12, and Blue Badge holders also need to pay this charge.
On street parking
- Blue Badge holders: Park free of charge and without time limit at parking meters on-street and ‘pay and display’ parking. Blue badge must be displayed at all times. The nearest on-street bays are located in the Finnieston area around Argyle Street. To get from Finnieston to the Crowne Plaza, use the accessible, covered walkway leading from the Exhibition Centre train station on Minerva Street. The Crowne Plaza is approximately 500m from the walkway exit.
- Non-Blue Badge holders: Nearby on-street parking in and around Finnieston is metered, and often limited to a two to three hour maximum stay. Pay by cash or the RingGo app.
Low Emission Zone (LEZ)
The venue for the conference is within the Glasgow Low Emission Zone (LEZ). A vehicle may only drive within a LEZ if it meets the specified emission standards. If a vehicle does not meet the emission standards there is a fine of £60. There are several exemptions for Blue Badge holders, and cars with disabled tax class.
