AAC

Cerebral Palsy Scotland’s Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) group is for primary school children aged 5-12 years who already use or are learning to use an AAC system or device such as a communication book or eye gaze device. The group runs once a year over three days and takes place in the February mid-term break.

About the group

The AAC group is a great opportunity for young AAC users to develop their communication skills, meet other young AAC users, try new activities and have lots of fun!

Each year the AAC group has a different theme that all the group activities are centred around, such as space, superheroes and woodland camping. The children are encouraged to participate using their communication devices to ask and answer questions, make choices, sing songs, tell jokes and interact with each other.
