The 12th annual Cerebral Palsy Scotland conference will take place on Wednesday 8 October at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow.
Make your voice heard – call for conference speakers
We’re looking for people from a range of backgrounds to speak at the Cerebral Palsy Scotland conference. We would like to hear from:
- People with cerebral palsy
- The families of people with cerebral palsy
- Health professionals, educators, researchers or academics with an interest in cerebral palsy
- Organisations providing a service for, or supporting, people with cerebral palsy
What kind of topics could I speak about?
Conference sessions can be an opportunity to share information, share experience and/or host a discussion. Sessions could cover a range of topics, including (but not limited to):
- Therapy (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy)
- Employment
- Education
- Ageing
- Wellbeing and mental health
- Transitions
- Physical health and being active
- Disabled access
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Raising awareness and campaigning
- Human rights
- Media and the arts
Sessions could take the form of a solo or group presentation, a panel discussion or an interactive workshop.
We can offer expenses to speakers who are not affiliated to an organisation or place of learning.
If you represent a business providing equipment for people with cerebral palsy, you are welcome to submit a session proposal. However, your session cannot focus on promoting your organisation’s products. If you wish to raise awareness of your products, we warmly invite you to do so at the conference exhibition.
